A Practice Built From Lived Experience, Care and Understanding
Life Changes Tamworth was created because there was a time when I needed support and couldn’t find it in the way I needed it.
On the outside, life looked organised and “together.” I was working full time, managing a busy household, doing everything I thought I should be coping with. Inside, I was navigating infertility, miscarriage, IVF, birth trauma, the loss of long-held dreams, and the emotional rollercoaster of early motherhood.
When I finally reached out for help, what I needed wasn’t fixing, judgement, or clinical distance.
I needed someone to listen. Someone to walk alongside me. Someone real.
That experience stayed with me and over time, it became the heart of Life Changes Tamworth.
My Path to This Work
I returned to university and completed my Social Work degree over eight years, woven around life, loss, healing, and growth. Along the way, I continued to learn not just academically, but through lived experience; experiences that now shape the way I work with others.
While building Life Changes Tamworth, I was also navigating my own significant personal transitions. It wasn’t a straight or easy path. There were moments of uncertainty, anxiety, and many “what ifs.” But I kept returning to my why - the deep belief that support should feel human, safe, and compassionate.
Life Changes Tamworth began part-time, in a small, carefully created space, one I painted, softened, and shaped with the intention of making clients feel calm and welcome. Since then, the practice has grown through several spaces and many chapters.
What has remained constant is the heart behind it.
How I Work
My approach is gentle, trauma-informed, and deeply respectful of each person’s story.
I support women and non-birthing parents through some of life’s most tender transitions, including:
Pregnancy anxiety and overwhelm
Miscarriage, fertility challenges and IVF journeys
Birth trauma and difficult birth experiences
Pregnancy after loss or trauma
Emotional adjustment to early parenthood
Identity shifts, grief, and relationship changes
Professional supervision for practitioners
Sessions are shaped around you, your pace, your needs, and what feels safe to explore. There is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for.
This is not about fixing you.
It’s about creating a space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood.
Experience You Can Trust
Since opening Life Changes Tamworth, I have held space for over 660 counselling sessions, spending more than 39,000 minutes supporting women and families through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
I continue to grow my practice thoughtfully, alongside ongoing professional development. I currently offer one-on-one counselling, professional supervision, and contract work, and I have been awarded a scholarship to complete a Supervisor Development Program - something I hope will open even more doors for the future.
I believe I have grown alongside my business and I consider it a privilege to witness the transformations and shifts that occur when people feel truly supported.
A Space Created With Care
Each office I’ve worked from has held its own story. From the very first room I painted with help from my family, to quieter spaces that held deep conversations and healing, every environment has been intentionally created to feel calm, welcoming, and safe.
Today, Life Changes Tamworth continues to evolve, yet grounded in the same values it began with: kindness, honesty, and heart-led support.
One day, I dream of working from a character-filled house. A space that will carry my work through until retirement. For now, I feel deeply grateful to continue showing up for the women and families I work with each day.
This Space Was Created For You
Life Changes Tamworth grew from my own lived experience, and it continues to grow because I believe deeply in offering the support I once needed myself.
If you are navigating pregnancy, loss, birth, fertility challenges, or early parenthood, please know this:
You are not alone.
You don’t need to have the right words.
You don’t need to be “strong.”
Support is here when you’re ready.
